Transfer deadline day is silly season for teams looking to offload players, or to bolster their ranks for the season ahead, and there’s plenty of tactics employed to make the most out of their sales, particularly from agents.
Bleacher Report recently went behind the scenes at Sheffield United and followed manager Chris Wilder through transfer deadline day as he tried to bring in five new players to the Blades’ roster to help them tackle their Championship campaign.
It was a roller-coaster journey for the former Bramall Lane defender, who looked like he’d almost got all of his deals over the line, only for last-minute alterations and changes in agreements.
