JBFC Football in Great Horkesley near Colchester, is all about giving kids the chance to fall in love with the game in a fun, friendly and inclusive environment.
Our motto is #LoveTheBall, and we encourage children to spend as much time with a football at their feet as possible.
The Saturday Club does not claim to be an exclusive ‘elite’ training ‘academy’. It is not about picking the best of the best. It is all about allowing every child to have fun and play the game, while learning new skills and making friends.
Our experienced UEFA and FA licensed coaches provide a platform for children to get into football, build confidence, keep active, and prepare them for when they are ready to join a local football club.
Saturday Club FAQs
Venues:
JBFC Football Saturday Club operates at two venues through the year. From January to March we go indoors to our Futsal venue at Newtons Farm, Wissington. This usually runs for ten weeks.
From April to July and September to December, our terms take place at Great Horkesley’s Jubilee Field, Tile House Lane. These two terms usually run for 12 weeks each. Find out more about the venues here.
Who are sessions for?
Anyone aged 4 to 13 years will enjoy JBFC Football sessions. We want to help boys and girls to gain the confidence to love playing the game, and if that then takes them further to a local team, then that’s brilliant.
Equipment:
For the indoor term, the pitch is a hard surface, so footwear must be trainers only. For the outdoor terms trainers or football boots are fine, though boots are recommended when wet. Shinpads are recommended for all sessions, as well as suitable football/sportswear.
Costs:
A term with JBFC Football costs £60 per player. For new players to JBFC, they are offered a free taster session before committing to the full term.

JBFC kids football coaching in Colchester is focused on giving children their first taste of football in a fun, friendly and pressure-free environment. We are proud that more than 200 children have come through the JBFC Saturday Club doors, with many now competing in league football for numerous teams around Colchester, including our very own JBFC Development teams.
