Can you name this England Toulon 2005 team?

As the latest edition of the Toulon Tournament approaches, can you name this England Toulon 2005 team?

Since its inception in 1967, the Festival International Espoirs – also known as the Toulon Tournament – has seen some of the world’s best under-20 footballers converge on the French town for an annual football contest.

In years like this, it can also act as important preparation for the Olympic Games.

This year’s competition will kick off on 18 May and run through until 29 May and will feature ten teams including hosts France, England, Portugal and Mexico.

England have won the Toulon Tournament four times – all in the early 90s – with players such as Alan Shearer, David James and Mark Robins starring.

But Toulon has also been where some of the games most well-known players have made their names.

Real Madrid duo Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez are both past winners with Portugal and Colombia.

Meanwhile Jean-Pierre Papin, Thierry Henry, Zinedine Zidane, Javier Mascherano, Rui Costa, Radamel Falcao, Emile Heskey and Hugo Lloris are among the scores of players who have turned heads in Toulon.

England will be back at Toulon in May, but their best performance in recent years came at the Toulon Tournament in 2005 when a side managed by Peter Taylor finished third. France beat Portugal in the Final.

And there were some very familiar faces in the England squad – but do you know who they are?
