What do you need to know attending a JBFC Coaching session?

So, your son or daughter is attending a JBFC Coaching session, but what do you need to know before you arrive?

Here’s an outline to help you ahead of your child’s session.

Venue

JBFC Saturday Club sessions, and most 121 and small-group coaching, take place at the Jubilee Field, Tile House Lane, Great Horkesley, CO64EP. Click here for a map.

Parking

For JBFC Saturday Club sessions, parents should avoid parking in the road or on curbs around Tile House Lane. Please use the car park at St John’s Church, Elstar Lane, off Tile House Lane, CO6 4FE – turn left just before you reach the field and follow Elstar Lane to the end.

Covid-19 Protocol

While we are still under giovernment restrictions and guidelines, there will be certain rules that JBFC and parents must observe. Click here to see our current Covid-19 guidelines.

Equipment

The pitch at Jubilee Field in Great Horkesley is grass. Football boots with a firm ground sole are recommended, particularly during wet weather, but trainers are ok too. Shinpads are also recommended for children as a safety measure.

Clothing

Appropriate sports clothing for the weather is recommended, many of the children wear there favourite team kits and wrap up a bit more during the colder months.

Water

Every child must bring their own water bottle clearly marked to ensure that are well hydrated during the sessions.

Medical

In the event of injury, JBFC coaches will in the first instance tend to the player, subject to Covid-19 regulations. If your child has any medical conditions that might require medication during a session, ie asthma, please ensure they have their asthma pump with them for all sessions.

Coaches

All coaches have a minimum level one FA Coaching qualification, as well as DBS records checks, safeguarding certificates and first aid qualifications.
